Celebrating Friendships - Yaaron Ki Baraat

ZEE TV will launch a new chat show Yaaron Ki Baraat to celebrate the beautiful bond of friendship. In this show celebrity friendships will be put to test through a series of fun challenges and tasks. Isnt that cool concept for a show? I a big bollywood buff am truly excited. I love chat shows like Koffee with karan and totally loved episodes where celebrity friends were guests. If you ask me i would love to see Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor on the show also on my wish list is Shah Rukh Khan and Kara johar. If this new show idea interests you then Tune in to ZEE TV at 8 PM on 8th October.

Now why am I talking about this show on my blog? Well this show brought back memories of my friends, school friends to be precise. Majority of people have loads of people to call as friends but there are only a few, like 2 or three may be whom they address as best friends . Even I have 2 best friends and I made these precious friends in school. After school life happens and you gradually loose touch but thanks to social media you atleast have a bit of connect with all friends. Best friends always find a way to keep in touch even if life keeps us apart taking us to different countries, continents even. We stay connected and then there are important events like weddings which make meetings happen.

I met my best friends in class six, all three of us had changed schools and were new to the school and having no old friends meant we could stick together and strike a friendship. After the first day at school there was no looking back for our friendship, we always sat together, visited each others place for group studies, shared lunch boxes and formed a team for projects.

It was the Rangoli competition in our school which actually bought us close. I can still remember that amazing day which is one of the best days of my life when I and my best friends were in the same team for an inter school Rangoli competition. Neha, Gayathri and me had represented our school for the competition and we had set away in our school bus, unaware that this bus journey was going to be the beginning of a pure bond called friendship.

Right from sneaking into the Rangoli designs of other participants to creating a pure ruccus with colors, and finally creating a piece which won us the first prize - we had turned into the best of friends for life within a matter of hours.

I remember once when I had fallen ill and had not been able to attend my classes for a whole month. Do you know what my crazy friends did? They wrote the whole notes for me, kept me updated about each and everything and helped me prepare for my final exams which came just a week later. I was touched by this gesture and felt blessed o have such angels in the form of friends!

We got so close to each other that when it was finally time to part in the 10th standard, we swore that we couldn't live without each other. But each of us wanted to pursue a different career and the parent pressure was also there so we thought it was finally time to say good bye.

But as destiny had it, all three of us ended up at same college! In different sections and with different subject classes though but nevertheless, in the same college! The two years spent there close to my besties are very close to me.
